Who Owned Baseball September 18, 2018 (Daily #MLB AL/NL Pitcher + Hitter MVPs) + 2018 #WOB

Daniel Murphy reached base 3 times, homered and drove in a pair as the Cubs inched closer to a Division Title with a 9-1 thrashing of the Diamondbacks.

Kaleb Cowart tripled and hit a go ahead grand slam to push the Angels past the A’s. 9-7.

Jameson Taillon threw 7 shutout innings, striking out 11 Royals, helping set up the Pirates 2-1 walk off victory.

Corey Kluber struck out 11 White Sox in 8 innings, allowing 3 runs and earning the 5-3 decision for Cleveland.

Freddy Galvis singled twice and doubled twice, scoring 2 times, in San Diego’s 5-4 loss to the Giants.

Omar Narvaez went 2 for 4 with a homer but the Indians topped his White Sox, 5-3.

Kyle Freeland held the Dodgers to 2 runs over 6 2/3 innings. He did not get a decision as the Rockies fell in extra innings, 3-2.

Nathan Eovaldi did his part to help the Red Sox clinch by throwing 6 innings of 2 hit shutout ball, striking out 5 Yankees. Boston’s bullpen blew the lead and the game, 3-2.
